We started out as a class project when Lindsey was finishing up her MBA at the TCU Neeley School of Business. Students were tasked with trying to start a small business in August 2020 and attempt to find profitability by Thanksgiving break (about 90 days) since the semester was shortened due to COVID-19. It was a daunting task - but pretty awesome experiential learning, right? (Shout out Professor Sherrod!)

Lindsey's idea stemmed from recognizing that any time she wore her favorite vintage gear to TCU sporting events she had a bunch of people ask her where she got her jerseys, hats, sweatshirts, and tees from. With only a few places to buy largely mass-produced fan gear, it is rare to see anything but that being worn to our favorite Horned Frog events! Realizing it was knocking on the door of football season, Lindsey wondered if she could gather and curate an awesome collection of vintage gear for other fans to enjoy. Thus, Riff Ram Vintage was born. 

What started as selling a few items directly on Instagram quickly blew up into weekly pop-up sales on game days. Demand exploded and now we have explored creating our own products with imagery and logos inspired by our favorite vintage gear. In the Spring of 2022, we re-branded to "Fans Vintage". While our primary focus is still vintage TCU gear, we hope to incorporate (and expand!) to other schools soon!

We are so grateful for the love and enthusiasm this concept has been met with, and can't wait to continue bringing you awesome vintage finds and "new" vintage looks! Thank you for checking us out, learning our story, and exploring our products.
