History:
Pictured is Lance Brown, 1963 SWC Player of the Year and All-American! After a phenomenal collegiate career, Brown returned to coach the Frogs for 17 record-setting seasons from 1986-2003.
The TCU Horned Frogs broke two all-time records during the 1963 baseball season. One was winning sixteen straight home games and the other was finishing with a 21-4 record which topped that of the two former Frog Southwest Conference Championship teams of 1933 and 1956.
Despite having their best record ever, they ended in a tie for 1st place with the Texas Longhorns. Since the Steers defeated the Frogs twice in head-to-head play, they were chosen to represent the SWC in the NCAA Playoff Tournament.
